The advising offices in the Sierra Pacific Community College (SPCC) District work to assist students throughout the completion of their academic programs. Because SPCC has a large population of students who are retraining themselves for different types of employment, job-related information is especially important. For this project, you prepare a presentation about writing resumes.

- Open the ResumeUpdates-01 start file. Click the Enable Editing button in the Message Bar at the top of the presentation so you can modify it.
- The file will be renamed automatically to include your name. Change the project file name if directed to do so by your instructor. Press shift+command+S to open the Save As dialog box and save this file.
NOTE: If group titles are not visible on your Ribbon in PowerPoint for Mac, click the PowerPoint menu and select Preferences to open the PowerPoint Preferences dialog box. Click the View button and check the Show group titles check box under Ribbon. Close the PowerPoint Preferences dialog box.
- Change theme style and font.
- Change the Background Style to Style 4 (last option/first row) (Figure 1-123).

- Change the Theme Fonts to Georgia.
- Change the Background Style to Style 4 (last option/first row) (Figure 1-123).
- Adjust placeholder sizing and text.
- Display slide 1 and select the title placeholder. Change text alignment to Align Left.
- Resize the placeholder so the text word wraps on two lines. Note: Do not press Enter to split the lines.
- Select the subtitle placeholder and change text alignment to Align Left (Figure 1-124).
- Insert two new slides after slide 2 with the Title and Content layout. Type the following text for slides 3 and 4. Indent the subpoints on slide 3 (the last three items).

- Reuse slides from another presentation.
- Move your insertion point after slide 3.
- Select Reuse Slides and browse to find ResumeContent-01 downloaded from the Resources link.
- Click OK to insert all three slides into the presentation.

- Display slide 8. Adjust placeholders and insert text.
- Select the title placeholder and change text alignment to Align Left. Type Success!
- Resize the title placeholder to fit the text.
- Delete the subtitle placeholder.
- Click the Spelling button [Review tab, Proofing group] and correct the following spelling errors: “redundant,” “achievements,” and any other errors you find.
- Apply the Reveal transition with the Through Black from Right effect option to all slides.
- Print slides as an outline (Figure 1-125).
IMPORTANT: When you are finished with this project, your presentation should contain 8 slides. If it does not, your project will not grade properly and you may lose a significant number of points. Check your work carefully.
- Save and close the presentation (Figure 1-126).
- Upload and save your project file.
- Submit project for grading.
